A gorgeous and unusual Monchhichi collectible from Sekiguchi’s Big Face Fashion Charm range.
This is the Adult Chic Red Dress design, featuring the instantly recognisable oversized Monchhichi face, deep brown plush fur and a beautiful rich red velvet-style outfit.
The detailing on this one is particularly lovely, with delicate lace accents, a large decorative bow to the back and a pearl-style headpiece giving her an elegant, slightly theatrical look.
This particular design is identified as an overseas-exclusive Fashion Charm, making it considerably less familiar in the Japanese domestic market and an unusual find for UK collectors.
Originally released by Sekiguchi in 2013, this exact model is now discontinued. She also retains her original Sekiguchi/Fashion Charm tags, which makes her especially appealing as a collector's piece.
Unlike a standard Monchhichi doll, the Fashion Charm range uses exaggerated proportions with the classic large Monchhichi face and a much smaller plush body. A ball-chain attachment allows the piece to be displayed as a collectible charm or attached to a bag.
