Created to celebrate 20 years of MOLLY, this special 2026 release was produced as part of the character’s anniversary celebrations and was designed to reflect MOLLY’s roots in art, creativity and designer-toy culture.
The figure is made in the unusual 150% scale, standing at approximately 12 cm tall, making it noticeably larger than a standard 100% MOLLY figure while still being compact enough for display. The larger size gives collectors more surface area to work with, which is particularly important for this edition because the figure was specifically created to be painted and customised by its owner.
Rather than releasing another conventional pre-painted MOLLY, POP MART produced this edition as a self-painting artist figure. Royal Molly comes predominantly in white, with her oversized crown and signature features left deliberately minimal so the owner can use the accompanying paints and tools to create their own version.
That concept is especially fitting for the MOLLY 20th Anniversary, because MOLLY began as an artist-created character by Kenny Wong before becoming one of POP MART’s most recognisable designer-toy properties. The release effectively turns Royal Molly back into an artist’s canvas.
The official painting kit includes coloured paints, brushes and a palette, allowing the figure to be customised or kept completely untouched as an anniversary collectible.
Why 150%?
The 150% format is approximately 12 cm tall, sitting between standard small-format MOLLY figures and the much larger MEGA display pieces.
For this anniversary edition, the increased size gives the figure enough surface area for proper custom painting while keeping it manageable as a desktop or cabinet collectible.
