A beautiful and highly collectable reproduction of the original 1962 Barbie Dream House, released by Mattel as part of its 75th Anniversary celebrations.
This special collector edition recreates the style and charm of Barbie’s original early-1960s Dream House, complete with its distinctive folding carry-case design, colourful mid-century interior, furniture, accessories and vintage-inspired Barbie fashions.
Unlike many examples currently seen for sale, this set is complete and comes with the original Barbie doll included.
The included Barbie features a classic blonde Bubblecut-style look and comes with reproduction fashions and accessories designed to complement the 1962 Dream House theme.
This is a substantial adult collector piece and a wonderful display set for vintage Barbie fans, Mattel collectors or anyone building a high-end Barbie collection.
Condition
Opened once and carefully assembled/displayed for the purpose of filming a video.
It was then carefully packed away again.
The set is complete and has not been used as a children’s playset.
Because it has been opened and assembled once, I have not described it as NRFB or factory sealed, but it remains in excellent collector condition.

Why This Set Is Special
The original Barbie Dream House appeared in 1962 and is one of the most recognisable pieces from Barbie’s early history.
For this anniversary edition, Mattel recreated the look of that original house rather than producing a modern interpretation. The result is a wonderfully nostalgic collector set filled with early-1960s styling, period furniture and vintage-inspired Barbie fashion.
The inclusion of the original reproduction Barbie doll is particularly important, as many Dream House examples offered separately on the secondary market no longer include the doll.
This example remains complete and has only been displayed once, making it an especially attractive option for a collector who wants the full set without paying sealed-box premiums.
