A beautiful Japanese interpretation of My Melody, dressed especially for spring in soft matcha green and delicate cherry-blossom pink.
The My Melody Matcha Kimono Plush is an official Sanrio release manufactured in Japan’s licensed Sanrio range by Nakajima Corporation, a long-established Japanese plush and character-goods maker.
My Melody wears a wonderfully detailed traditional-inspired outfit featuring a pink floral kimono patterned with sakura blossoms, a deep matcha-green pleated skirt and coordinating green accessories. Her familiar hood has been transformed into a soft pale matcha shade and finished with an oversized green bow, delicate white lace and a pink cherry-blossom decoration.
Even the smaller details have been beautifully considered, from her embroidered green eyes and rosy cheeks to the tiny green-and-white footwear beneath her kimono.
At approximately 24.5cm tall, this is the larger S-size plush rather than the smaller mascot version sometimes seen online.
Released for the Japanese market in 2026, the Matcha Kimono collection combines two instantly recognisable elements of Japanese culture — matcha and sakura — with one of Sanrio’s most loved characters.
