Celebrate 50 years of Malibu Barbie with this gorgeous Barbie Signature Malibu Barbie Gift Set, featuring faithful reproductions of three much-loved characters from the original 1971 Malibu line – Barbie, Christie and P.J.
Released by Mattel in 2021, this Gold Label collector set recreates the sun-soaked style of the original California girls, with each doll wearing a replica of her original swimsuit. Barbie wears blue, Christie wears red and P.J. wears purple, complete with coordinating accessories and wonderfully nostalgic 1970s presentation packaging. Mattel lists the set as designed by Bill Greening, with vintage-inspired face sculpts and Twist ’n Turn-style bodies.
The dolls are NRFB – never removed from box and remain secured in their original packaging.
The outer display box has noticeable cardboard damage. There is tearing along the bottom front edge, towards the bottom-right corner, together with a cardboard tear to the top-right area of the box/lid. Please study the photographs carefully, as the damage has been photographed clearly and forms part of the description.
The dolls and contents themselves present beautifully.
